The EME Foundation (Ecouter pour Mieux s’Entendre – Listening to understand each other better) is celebrating its 10th birthday this year. Ten years devoted to bringing music to people who don’t usually have the opportunity to hear it and, in so doing, contribute to creating a fairer society. What is the EME Foundation?
Created at the initiative of the Philharmonie Luxembourg, the Foundation offers a range of programmes for a variety of audiences, including children and adults with disabilities or impaired mobility, the elderly, people who are socially disadvantaged or find themselves in difficult situations, and those who are marginalised or isolated.
A humanist culture
Banque de Luxembourg has been a partner and founder member of the EME Foundation since its inception in 2009. As a bank rooted in society, we have always cultivated a “humanist” mindset, that of a business that is aware of its responsibilities (especially in the countries which are the springboard for our development).
Our long-term commitment is expressed via our social partnerships, through the provision of financial resources, employee volunteers and professional skills. In this vein, several dozen volunteers from our bank generously participated throughout the weekend to welcome guests and visitors. We are proud to be able to continue supporting the EME Foundation and its wonderful initiatives.
